My name is Trevor Martin. First things first, you should know that at times I have the imagination of a 7-year-old kid. You see my mind is always moving. Creating new worlds and dimensions, heroes and heroines, gods and goddesses alike for any imagination to roam freely in. Sometimes it gets so busy that I must put pen or pencil to paper, either in the form of writing or drawing.
Current State: I am 42 years old and I absolutely am in love with the color black. To me it is settling, always has been always will be. It clearly defines my wardrobe of that you can be certain. When I slip on a black T-shirt, I smile every time. My black Doc Martens, when laced up and on my feet… just make me feel…hell I dunno, like an ass-kicking machine!!
Some things that I enjoy are writing, drawing, posting on LinkedIn, playing my PS5, going for rides on my Harley Davidson, and visiting my sanctuary…. the gym. Each of these things brings me some form of joy…but the gym, now that is where it all starts.
The Gym- You see for me the gym is a place of vulnerability. One where I can completely let everything go and not hold back. Where I can exhaust my body so that my mind becomes clear. I have been asked, when do I feel that I create my best content and well to be completely honest, it’s while I am at the gym. The gym for me is where it all starts and ends.
The Harley- My ride is an ‘03 Dyna Wide Glide…colors- silver and black. 12” apes and Vance and Hines short shot pipes that make it pretty damn clear I am heading out to the open road. Listen… there isn’t anything like the open highway….the blacktop… the road blending in with the horizon. Riding the Harley for me is therapy. Just the road beneath me, my thoughts, and the rumble of the pipes soothing my soul.
Ink- ohhhh man I could write about tattoos for hours…Ink to me is one of the purest forms of art. To get a tattoo means that a person is willing to take that piece of work and brand it on their skin. Now, yes, it’s true some just grab a pic and are like “Yup that will work.” and slap it on their body. For many though, there is a long process of deciding just exactly what they want and where. The art that is on my body has meaning. Each piece represents something very special, and the process of getting inked, well that also is a form of therapy to me.
All of these things make up a part of who I am and the man behind the words that you will be reading in the future. I wanted to open a small door, giving you some insight into who I am. It is my hope that as we continue on this journey, we grow closer together through the sharing of ideas and words on paper.
With much love and appreciation- Trevor Martin
