I am the Hammer

A unique story about the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ

“I was forged for work…
Built to crush stone, shape timber, drive nails…

Not for this…. gods be damned… never for this…

Not for blood

Not for gods…

but still… they dragged me from the carpenter’s shed, hands shaking, eyes hard.

The Romans…

Always cold, always commanding….

They didn’t care what tool they used….just that the job was done….
I was the weight in their grip…the sentence passed without a word.

The cross lay on the ground like a coffin waiting to breathe….

then …. He was thrown onto it… like a discarded piece of rotten meat…

I remember His eyes…
Not wide with fear..
Not burning with rage…

Steady…

Like He knew

That only made it worse….

The first spike was cold. It caught the morning sun as it rested in the hollow of His wrist.
The soldier raised me…..

I SCREAMED downward….

C R A CCCCCCCKKKKKK…..

Flesh tore….
Bone splintered….
The wood beneath him drank the blood without complaint….

HE…
He didn’t even scream….
Not once….
His body jolted, but His eyes didn’t flinch.

The next arm. The same.
I crashed again and again, each swing another insult to heaven….

…. then the feet….
Stacked and pinned like kindling….

Hell…by then I was slick with blood and sweat, the metalhead of me echoing with a sick rhythm I can still hear…..

Even now…..

They hoisted the cross… right there….like a banner of agony….

and I lay discarded at the base of the cross….soaking in the PROOF of what I had done…

Look …here’s the truth they don’t carve into stained glass or preach from polished pulpits…

I was the hand of human…. Plain and simple…

Not just the soldier
Not just the empire

All of them….

All of you…

You built me with every betrayal
You raised me with every lie
You swung me with every “SIN”

I am not just a hammer
I am the judgment
I am the DENIAL
I am every time He was…. FORGOTTEN.

Yet…
Even as I shattered Him,
He whispered forgiveness

That’s what haunts me….

Not the blood….
Not the bone…..

The mercy…

Because I am the hammer
N still…

He forgave me….and you.”
